Based on 160 reviewsMa Zi Pan Mee 妈子板面 | Setia Taipan 2 is widely recognized for its generous portions and reasonably priced offerings, making it a favored spot for pan mee enthusiasts. The restaurant is praised for its clean, air-conditioned environment and comfortable seating, although some customers note that the air conditioning could be stronger. The pan mee, available in both soup and dry versions, is appreciated for its flavorful broth, particularly the anchovy base, with complimentary chili varieties enhancing the dining experience. While service is generally fast, especially outside peak hours, occasional comments mention slower wait times and mixed staff attitudes. Overall, the brand is valued for its hearty meals and inviting ambiance, despite minor service and environment-related feedback.
When you are craving for a panmee and can’t stand the heat, this is the perfect place for you to go. The environment was clean, air conditioned and service was fast maybe it was not a peak hour (11:30am). The broth was a bit diluted as compared to the time I had eaten when they had newly opened. They had 2 types of chili to complement the meal. A lot of ingredients and the price was reasonable for a kopitiam. Pineapple juice was good even without sugar and it’s signature tea was great too.
Ma Zi Pan Mee in Setia Taipan is a go-to spot for many, often bustling during lunch and dinner hours. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable. Both the soup and dry pan mee are worth trying—the soup is clear with a rich anchovy flavor. The Cantonese mee sen comes in a generous portion, and I personally enjoy pairing it with Chinese vinegar for an added kick—it’s delicious. For side dishes, the fried pork balls and claypot pork ball soup are both great choices. However, the toasted bread is average, as the kaya and butter don’t particularly stand out. The kopi here is strong and flavorful (kaw kaw), and the kam kat is always refreshing—perfect for a hot day, especially during lunch.
Ordered the chilli pan mee. Overall food is okay, portion is alot but the staff attitude is abit off. Keep gossiping behind there and the environment is not the best. Airconditioning not cold
I happened to pass by this area coincidentally so decided to try since I love pan mee. The food portion was good for the price paid under the air conditioning area, and it's very clean too. Iced coffee comparable to those in Ipoh coffee shop. Just that, you have to be patient as the waiting time might take longer than usual.
Food ordered: Chilli Pan Mee (Dry) & Fried Lobak This is my 3rd time here, and I can say that I really enjoyed the food here. The portions are big, if you order something dry, they would give you a good portion of soup, and if you order extra side ingredients, e.g. Ikan bilis, mince meat, they would give you your money's worth. I would just order a dish to share with my mom. We had a slight issue with the ordering paper, I didn't know that the Chilli Pan Mee came with an egg, as the ordering paper had an "egg" column, which I ticked. Apparently if you ticked that column, it means you want an extra egg. Believing that it didn't come with an egg, I ticked and wrote down to add the extra egg, so it came with 3 eggs.(The egg column + Egg add on) I told the cashier about it, and she kept apologising to me, she said, "If whatever we see in the menu with pictures, it would always be the same as the pictures shown", which I believe is a good, honest approach to your customers. The other good side was they gave us our own chilli, soya sauce, vinegar etc to add to your heart's desire. Overall, I think it was a good experience.
